The Space:

Our home is located in the popular, yet peaceful North Capitol Hill neighborhood bordering Downtown Denver!

As you pass through the gate and classic white picket fence you are immediately welcomed by the inviting front porch with landscaped garden. Proceeding into the home, you can feel the late 1800’s charisma with a modern 2020 vibe, and your attention will be instantly drawn to the grand wooden staircase. The living area is next with a couch sat comfortably in front of a Smart TV with cable provided. On the way to the kitchen, you’ll pass the lower half bathroom and dining table with seating for 6.
The revamped kitchen has more seating, stainless steel appliances, kids dishware, and all the necessities to feed your whole crew! Pass through the laundry room, which also serves as the entrance from the patio & garage to the courtyard. There is no doubt that this will become your personal oasis in the city complete with a waterfall, gas grill, and fire pit (gas levels not guaranteed – please see house rules), bench swing, in addition to a table to serve everyone in delight under the graceful Colorado sky.

As you step up the natural wood staircase to the bedrooms on the second level, you can not help but imagine the olden days & stories they could tell from the last century!

The master bedroom boasts a queen bed and is only a few steps to the ensuite master bathroom. Our master bathroom boasts dual vanities, an open shower with a rainfall showerhead, plus a soaking tub to lay back & unwind. Just down the hallway are the second full bathroom and other two bedrooms that are each equipped with a full-size bed. As you exit the third bedroom through the far door, there is an open area you’ll pass through with a queen-size daybed for 2. This area can also be accessed by heading up the spiral staircase leading up from the back entrance next to the vintage spiral staircase. At the top of these stairs, next to the day bed, you can exit onto the balcony which provides a table with seating for you to dive into your favorite novel.
There is street parking here, but you will also have access to the free 2 car garage which is a major convenience in this area so that you don’t have to worry about any street parking restrictions!

The Neighborhood:

My neighborhood offers a vibrant mix of arts, culture, and endless restaurants and cafes with a walking score of 94! Some of my favorite spots include DBar (get the pizza sandwich, you won’t regret it!), Campfire has a great patio where they serve craft beers and yummy food, Fluid Coffee Bar will get your engine going in the morning and Horseshoe Lounge is a fun dive to grab a nightcap. You’ll be a short trip from concerts at the Fillmore Auditorium, Coors Field, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, LoDo, Larimer Square, and much more.

Explore the gold-domed Colorado State Capitol with its “Mile High” marker on the 13th step. Civic Center Park plays host to live music and food trucks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May-October.

You’ll find some of Denver’s finest museums nestled amongst beautiful turn-of-the-century mansions of “Cap Hill,” including the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art and the Molly Brown House Museum.

In the Golden Triangle neighborhood don’t miss the Denver Art Museum and the Clyfford Still Museum. With more than 50 galleries, fine-art studios, museums, specialty stores, restaurants, nightclubs, coffeehouses, and bistros, the neighborhood is a great place to explore on foot.

There are also several other parks and open spaces located nearby, many of which are connected by walking and bike-friendly trails. Hop on the train from the airport which runs into Downtown Denver at Union Station which is less than 1.5 miles away. This is a convenient way to explore downtown Denver and the entire metro area or hit the mountains by jumping on the Amtrak train up the hill to Winter Park for world-class snow skiing, mountain biking, and an all-around great family atmosphere.

– **There is a propane gas grill and firepit on-site however the gas level on these propane tanks is NOT guaranteed!* If you do desire to use either or both, it’s possible that you may need to exchange the tank, and if so, you are responsible for covering the cost. (We recommend Safeway that is 3 blocks away.)**
– This home does NOT have air central conditioning! However, our home is equipped with a window and portable unit upstairs in 2 of the 3 bedrooms which will flow downstairs to help keep the home at a moderate temperature.
– Lawn service is typically done on Tuesday, however, this may occasionally vary, but NO ONE will enter the home. Thanks for your cooperation!
Please Note: No pets, no parties, and no smoking is allowed in the home. This is not a party spot! Quiet hours are from 10 PM – 8 AM. Any noise violations or complaints from neighbors will result in immediate eviction and loss of your security deposit. We appreciate your courtesy.
